About Me:
I work in London, I spend a lot of time sitting, I love it at the gym but struggle with the concept of getting there! I have put a lot of weight on in the last year and am on a mission to lose it and all the bits I've added on the years prior! This is the year!!!

ey up - cheers mutchly for your kind words. Aie I'm Captain of the Chuffed Team :-) I try to go to the gym 4 times a week and do a bootcamp on Saturdays but I've really been struggling to get motivated the last week or so. Don't think it's the ED but work is stressful at the moment and dragging my ass to the gym after a long day and six trains has been a struggle. I'll recharge my batteries this weekend with a few jars with the boys and psyc myself up to his the weights again on Monday...

Fair play to you for all the exercise. Are you able to train with a friend or other people in the gym - often this can help so much I've found? The aches are a good thing, but are you stretching warm or cold? There is a lot of debate out there on whether you should stretch before exercising or after a light warm up. I'm in favour of doing a 10 min run to get the ole heart pumping and then doing some stretches before carrying on and I find that this really helps with the aching the next day. Of course the aches are just the way your body is telling you that it is repairing your muscles after the exercise, so to help with the recovery eating protein within an hour of exercising is the way forward... I heartily recommend a three egg omelette with tuna and the next day you'll not be as sore...

Best of luck with your weigh-in on Saturday, I'm sure with all the exercise you'll see a difference. Bear in mind if your total weight has stayed the same, or even gone up it might not be all bad news - chances are with all the exercise you are doing you might have gained some lean muscle mass and lost fatty tissue. Sometimes you stare at the scales and think, "how the bloddy hell did that happen" but it's all good usually. I've tried those scales that measure body fat % but have found them to be inaccurate and inconsistent, a pretty good indicator is your clothes in all fairness and how loose they start to feel...

Congrats on a good week and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on Saturday!

Thanks so much. It was so good to read that you had gone through a similar thing as me yesterday. I agree today I'm more bouncy and feeling great...skin is still a bit hideous (it is so humid here at the moment and my skin reacts badly to it) but the weight loss is great and the clothes fitting not so snuggly. Hey - cheers! I know what that's like, being the heaviest ever, it's not nice, but I'm sure you'll do good on the ole caveman diet. Yeah I know what you mean about doing something different, the gym can get really monotonous, after a while so it's good to try something new. I tend to go over my parents on a Saturday and I take their mental Springer Spaniel for a walk in the woods, which ends up being a run as I chase her all over the place lol

Yup agree this site is wickid. I didn't use it the last time I tried the ED. Didn't even know it existed. So glad to have it this time.

Cheers for asking - I'm two b*"*$"£d pounds away from a six stone loss in total now. I started out at 21 and a half stone and now I'm tipping the scales at 15 stone 9. Still got some way to go, but I keep telling myself that Rome wasn't built in a day and pushing on...

The ED will certainly give you the results you are looking for. I've found my motivation is weakening this week though (the third week) and beer and chocolate are looking very tempting. He Ho... back to me salad...
